If push button ignition please follow these steps. 1. hold button for 4 seconds and release. Dash should illuminate, if it doesn?t press once more. Onnce dash illuminated proceed to read/write. When kess prompts to cycle ignition just ignore and select next. Without doing this will still read but fail on write
Some software versions have TPROT, please see BMW EDC17 list in dashboard and check if your software version is safe to write via OBD. If its not in the the list then we advise to use KTAG. If car reads on NEW VR protocol then safe to write OBD.
